Reiki Certification Classes in Houston, TX

Small group. Deep lineage. Ongoing support. This is not a weekend certification mill. This is a genuine transmission of the practice in an intimate setting, with a teacher who will still be there for you long after the class ends.

Registering for
your Reiki class

Western wellness culture has turned Reiki certification into something you can get in a weekend with no prerequisites, no mentorship, and no real understanding of what it means to become a straw for energy. I teach it differently.

When you channel Reiki, you are opening yourself to something that moves through you. Your energetic hygiene, your intention, and your reverence for the practice matter. This class is for people who feel genuinely called to carry this medicine, not just add a credential to their bio.

If that's you, I'd love to teach you. If you're still figuring out whether it's for you, that's fine too. Come to a session first and feel the energy for yourself before deciding to work with it.

"When the organization I taught with for eight years moved away from traditional attunements, I stepped away from them. The transmission is the practice. I won't compromise that."

Reiki Level I and II class with Tori Adekoya, Simply Reiki Houston

Everything you need to practice with confidence.

Level I & II Certification

Both levels taught across three days. You leave fully certified and ready to practice on yourself, your family, and your clients.

Traditional Attunements

Usui lineage attunements given as they were meant to be given, with reverence and intention, not rushed through in a group of thirty.

Original Manual

A comprehensive Reiki manual written from fourteen years of practice. Not a borrowed template. A real reference guide covering history, hand positions, symbols, chakras, and distance healing.

Hands-On Practice

Real practice time throughout the three days. You will give and receive Reiki in class so you leave knowing what it feels like from both sides.

Ongoing Support

I am always a text away after class. If you have a question mid-session with a client, or something feels off in your practice, reach out. That's what I'm here for.

Max 5 Students

Intentionally small so every student gets real attention, real time, and a genuine connection to the practice before they leave.

Attunements, not placements.

Tori is a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui lineage. Your attunements come through a direct, unbroken Usui lineage, given exactly as Usui taught them.

For eight years, Tori taught through the ICRT, one of the most recognized Reiki training organizations in the world. When the ICRT shifted from traditional attunements to "placements," a departure from the original transmission method Usui himself used, she stepped away. That decision cost her the affiliation. She made it anyway, because the integrity of the transmission matters more than the credential.

What you receive in this class is a real attunement, the way it was always meant to be given.

  • Usui Ryoho — Master Teacher lineage, attunements given
  • Gendai Reiki — Japanese traditional study and practice
  • Jikiden Reiki — Direct Japanese lineage study
  • ICRT — 8 years of teaching before stepping away over attunement integrity

Frequently Asked Questions

What people considering this training usually want to know before they commit.

No prior experience is required for Level I. If you feel called to learn, that's the real prerequisite. Come to a session first if you want to feel the energy before deciding to train in it, that's welcomed, not required.

Both levels are taught together across the three days, so you leave fully certified in both without needing to schedule a separate return visit.

That's a completely reasonable place to start. Booking a Reiki Healing Experience session first lets you feel the energy directly before committing to training in it. There's no pressure to decide before you've felt it for yourself.

Attunements given with real reverence and intention take time and attention per person. A group of 5 means every student is actually seen during the three days, not moved through a large room on a schedule.

History of Reiki, causes of illness, how Reiki heals, hand positions, chakras and chakra assessment, Reiki symbols, energetic hygiene, distance Reiki, and how to give a full session, plus real hands-on practice giving and receiving Reiki throughout, not just lecture time.

The deposit is non-refundable, but your class date is transferrable if your plans change. Reach out as early as possible if you need to move your date.

Online and large-group certification programs often use "placements" rather than true attunements, a shortcut that moves away from how Usui originally transmitted the practice. Tori left an eight-year affiliation with a major training organization over exactly this issue. What you receive here is a real, traditional Usui lineage attunement, given in person, with time and intention.

An attunement is the transmission that opens you as a channel for Reiki energy. Traditional Usui attunements are given individually, with reverence and specific ritual. "Placements," used by some larger training organizations, are a faster, more generalized substitute. The practice you're able to offer afterward is shaped by how you received it, which is why this class holds to the traditional method rather than the faster one.

Yes. Tori remains reachable by text after class. If something comes up mid-session with a client, or something feels uncertain in your own practice, that support doesn't end when the three days do.

$777 per student for the full three-day Level I & II certification, held quarterly in Houston. A $177 deposit holds your spot, with the balance due before class begins.
